뉴미디어 시대의 판단력 '도야'에 관한 고찰

본 연구는 뉴미디어 사회의 근본적 교육문제를 인간 주체의 내적 역량의 강화에 두고, ‘뉴미디어의 변증법’이라는 기획 하에 뉴미디어의 교육적 가능성과 한계를 진단한 후 ‘판단력’ 도야의 가능성과 방법을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 미디어의 다양한 결합으로 탄생한 뉴미디어 시대는 하이퍼미디어, 멀티미디어, 가상공간을 그 특성으로 한다. 뉴미디어는 교육부문에서도 정보화세계화라는 기치하에 정보혁명을 가져왔으나 신기술의 오용과 남용으로 인한 폐해와 위험성에 휩싸이게 되었다. 이러한 현실에서 실용주의적 관점에서 정보활용능력을 지속적으로 강화해 나가면서 동시에 뉴미디어 사용자의 주체적 역량을 강화하는 문제는 미래교육의 핵심적 과제가 되었다. 본 연구에서는 정보와 지식을 구별할 수 있는 인지적 판단능력, 현실세계는 물론 사이버세계 내에서 행위의 옳고 그름을 분별할 수 있는 ‘반성적 판단력’의 관점에서 뉴미디어 시대의 상황에 절실한 판단력 ‘도야’의 문제를 고찰하고 있다.

The Purpose of this study was to examine possibilities of ‘Bildung’ of the Judgement by making clear values, problems and limits of the new-media. The new-media age, in which the internet plays an essential role, has characteristics of hypertext, multimedia and virtual reality. On the one hand the internet’s multimedia environment could achieve so called Information revolution'. On the other hand it brought out some fundamental sects of media-educational problems with regard to the internet. The rapid increase of information, the accelerated degeneration of the ‘real’ experience, difficulties of shaping the subjectivity between real life and virtual life were important problems arising today in a media-educational perspective.

As the results of this study, it was suggested that both the media competence in the pragmatic point of view and the LBildung, of reflective judgement in the media-philosophical context would be simultaneously considered in the future education. Especially regarding of strengthening the inner potential of the subject in the rapidly changed modem society the great emphasis was put on cognitive capability of judgement for making a distinction between the information, and the knowledge, and reflective judgement for reinforcing the individual’s critical； ethical and esthetical abilities.
