ABSTRACT

It's peace and reconciliation that allow all us to live together with. In order to apply peace to unification education, we have to know better about North Korea, and to establish the right view of unification. Practicing the established ideas on unification is more important.

Therefore major changes are needed in unification education. We should start with making students free themselves from anti- peaceful thoughts. Unification education should be applied to their daily lives. The ideal unification education class is to create an atmosphere more conducive to communicating with each other freely or collecting self- evident opinions. In the current unification education class, we teach to various students in the same classroom whose range of interest in unification is much too wide. So we have to emphasize more "doing together" class activities than "doing respectively". We have to take a stance to search for peaceful co- existence in the classroom through unification education class.

There are individual, social, or structural conflicts in the classroom where teachers and students spend time together. The education society is changing against the ideal one. It has too many problems to make it difficult to implement peace in class. To improve the situation better, unification education should be to seek right ways to realize educational objectives of ensuring humane life. Understanding the prolonged division is the first step followed by carrying out responsibility through individual and social lives in action.
