ABSTRACT
Recently, open education programs are widely spreaded in our school. We need to evaluate the open education program since educational programs should be revised and improved for the better quality of education.
The purpose of this study was to develop an evaluation criteria on open education program. We extracted four criteria on open education from the related literature review.
They consist of educational goal, curriculum and evaluation, teachinglearning process and educational environment.
First, the educational goal is composed with the whole development that is emotional, intellectual, and physical domain.
Second, the curriculum and evaluation is included with the guaranteed participation of students, the reflected student' s need and level on curriculum content, and the variety of evaluation method.
Third, the teaching- learning process is important to the diversity of group organization, learning activity, and learning material.
Finally, the educational environment is composed with openness, flexibility, and diversity on physical and human resources. The criteria of this study are exploratory, so it should be followed by the study for validation on these criteria as a useful instrument to assess open education program.
